Wax has a memory, so your first burn is always the most important. Make sure this burn is 3-4hrs so that the wax melts almost to the edges of the candle glass

Before burning your handmade highly scented candle always trim your wick to 5mm to ensure a soot free burn and extend your candles life

Every subsequent burn should be 3hrs maximum so the candle glass doesn't get too hot

Never move a candle whilst it's lit or leave a burning candle unattended

Always protect the surface on which the candle sits, making sure the candle is away from drafts

Once there is only 1cm of wax at the bottom of the glass extinguish the flame and do not burn again
