That was me. So I made it myself.
Hi, I'm Karen, home fragrance obsessive, and the person who hand-pours every single product at Scotts.
Twenty-plus years of sourcing as a fashion retail buyer taught me exactly what quality looks like. Then I was made redundant - and instead of finding the next buying role, I turned my kitchen into a laboratory. A year of sourcing, testing and refusing to compromise - Scotts was born.
Scotts is for the woman who is done being disappointed with home fragrance.
Handcrafted in small batches in Leicestershire - with ingredients I'm happy to name and made with the same obsessive detail I gave to fashion. No compromises. No shortcuts. No fragrance that fades after a fortnight.

The Process
Each product is hand-poured in our Leicester studio, allowing us to focus on quality & attention to detail. I spent just over a year researching and testing waxes, so that our candles and melts were long-lasting and had the best scent throw. Testing is a huge part of making handmade home fragrance products… candle making really is a science and to make a truly great candle takes time to perfect. All our candles are hand poured in small batches for maximum quality… every candle is made and finished perfectly.

Components
Our candles and wax melts are made with our signature blended soy wax, premium fragrance oils… with natural cotton wicks for a clean burn. While our reed diffusers use an eco-friendly base designed to evaporate slowly for a longer-lasting fragrance. Across all products, we use fragrances from industry-leading suppliers so that they smell expensive and fill your space always free from parabens and phthalates. Every component is thought out and sourced from suppliers where sustainability is as important to them as it is to us.

Sustainability
Sustainability is at the heart of what we do from our ingredients right through to our packaging… We use FSC-certified card and paper for all boxes and labels. We keep packaging plastic-free wherever possible and our glass jars are designed to be reused long after the candle has finished. I designed packaging that used sustainable materials and is printed in the UK. We also offer reed diffuser refills as part of our commitment to reducing waste and creating products that are both beautiful and responsible.
